Benefits of Meditation

Typically, our thoughts are all over the map, trotting sensory input, daydreams, remembrances of the past, and even projections of the future. During guided meditation, we train the mind to stay put. We're encouraging our mind to remain present, by focusing on a meditation support, such as our breathing, physical sensations, or sound. Some meditation consists of visualization, where an image is evoked and used to anchor one's concentration.

Meditation is a great way to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression disorders. Many experience their mind being constantly preoccupied and wondering what to do next. Meditation allows your mind to rest and be present. In addition, guided meditation can improve your memory, mental clarity, and attention span. This particular practice also develops the mental discipline needed to avoid bad habits. Take strain off your heart and blood vessels, reducing risk of heart disease, by regularly meditating and lowering blood pressure. It can improve the quality of sleep and shorten the time it takes to fall asleep, while also reducing pain and  boosting emotion regulation. Lastly, meditation can help you better understand yourself, find your best self, and increase positive feelings and actions toward others.
